Metallic blue Osmia Bee - Osmia georgica? - Osmia georgica - female

Metallic blue Osmia Bee - Osmia georgica? - Osmia georgica - Female
Pleasantville, Westchester County, New York, USA
June 2, 2016
Size: est 3/10 inches
Fairly small metallic blue-green Osmia Bee with white hair bands on abdomen, orange scopal hairs and orange edging on mandibles. Hair bands are difficult to see from some angles (as in last picture in this series), but very visible from side, as shown in first two photos. Abdomen is shiny, pitted and hairless in areas between bands. The bee's body is long and narrow when viewed with the naked eye (not tear-shaped). Could this be Osmia georgica? I see that the Discover Life database records that O. georgica is one of a limited number of northeastern Osmia species that can have orange scopal hair. It also notes that the female O. georgica has an "upper face mandible with a robust, sub-basal, erect, flared protuberance," which this bee seems to have as well.

Bee was feeding on fleabane.
