Vetch Looper Moth (Caenurgia chloropha) - Caenurgia chloropha - Male
Houston, TX, Harris County, Texas, USA
May 13, 2016
Small to medium moth, less than an inch long with several tones of brown. Large think antennae. Moth forms an almost perfect triangular shape when resting.

Moved to Caenurgia chloropha
Moved from Erebidae.

Tentative ID. This looks more like C. togataria but would be very out of range.

Possible Caenurgia chloropha
Pretty sure it's that species. They are quite variable.

Thanks John, yes Vetch Looper would've been my closest guess too. They are very variable in color and pattern. Thanks for your input. :)
