The diagram for P. americana
at http://www.jumping-spiders.com/ is a pretty good match for this one, though they seem to have it oriented upside down. Nice job imaging this, I gave up on these a long time ago since they are so difficult.

different enough that I had doubts about it ... which reminds me that I grabbed an ant-mimic jumper I spotted several days ago when I was waiting for the school bus to drop off my son but haven't found the time to look at it yet.

I just checked it and it's the same ...
as this one Kevin Pfeiffer filed as Peckhamia picata ... I found this one before and was baffled by it. Looks like I never bothered to add it. It doesn't quite look like the diagrams to me.

On Kevin's he mentions ...
the forked appearance on the tip of the embolus and says it's a reflection or illusion, but I don't think that it is. It looks clearly forked on the ones I've found too.

I think we can assume that is americana
Tip aside they have very different emboli. The embolus on picata reminds me of the spiraling embolus on some Agelenopsis. P. seminola is similar to americana but the tip bends downward. Maybe Kevin didn't have access to diagrams for americana.
