Colourful Jumping Spider - Euophrys monadnock

Colourful Jumping Spider - Euophrys monadnock
Saskatoon Pacific Heights Neighborhood , Central Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan, Canada
June 4, 2016
Found this jumping spider on the shaded side of an awning set up beside a wooden deck under the large spruce tree in my parents yard. It was very quick and active, so getting a clear focussed photo was tricky. It was quite curious about the camera and jumped to and fro from lens to hand/table/fence. The femur and patella of Leg III and LegIV were bright red, and it's fuzzy chelicera and all eight legs had bright yellow tarsus. The rest of it's body was a shiny black.
