Bee-Osmia pumila? - Osmia pumila - female

Bee-Osmia pumila? - Osmia pumila - Female
Pleasantville, Westchester County, New York, USA
June 2, 2016
Size: 3/10" - 1/3" est.
Is this Osmia pumila?

The bee is around 3/10” long and dull metallic blue-green with white scopae and white hairs on its head and body. Bands on rear edges of T-2, T-3 and T-4 are smooth, without pits and fairly narrow. On T-3, the pits seem evenly distributed. The other similar blue-green Melanosmia species that have white scopal hairs found in NY/the Northeast don’t seem to fit (O. distincta, O. inspergens, O. sandhousae, O. albiventris). The bee has long hairs on its face, but I don’t know if these are long enough or curved enough to qualify for Osmia distincta.

Feeding on wild geranium.
