Psyllipsocus ramburii

Psyllipsocus ramburii
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA
June 6, 2016
Unfinished basement. I found them commonly last August but didn't find any in a search in April or in another "expedition" in mid-May. This time I found only one. Perhaps they're still hiding and won't come out in force until it's warmer. I sure hope they didn't die off when it hit -4 in February… Saved for Dr. Mockford if desired.

Moved
Moved from Barklice, Booklice, and Parasitic Lice. I'll look again next month and collect a few.

This is a cool one...
sometimes found in caves, but usually "domestic". No specimen necessary in this case. I have yet to catch one! If you find a bunch of them I would trade homemade cookies for several specimens in alcohol.
