Carabidae - Poecilus scitulus

Carabidae - Poecilus scitulus
El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA
June 11, 2016
Size: 11 mm
I had the impression (simply based on looks not keys) that this handsome beast was Harpalus affinis, but it appears that I went off the wrong branch. Attracted to UV and mercury vapor lights at Rio Bosque Wetlands Park.

Looks the most like this one to me.

Moved from Poecilus.

Thank you Belov!

Poecilus?
H. affinis from Texas would've been a neat record! But this is in the Pterostichini, and looks most like a Poecilus species to me.
The two setae above each eye rule out Harpalus.

Thank you Curt!
A man can only hope (of a new record)... I stand corrected. Thank you for your kind help.
