Noctuidae: Agrotis ipsilon - Agrotis ipsilon

Noctuidae: Agrotis ipsilon - Agrotis ipsilon
Turtle River State Park, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA
June 12, 2016
Size: Stretched Length ~ 3 cm
Three larvae have survived (to this date) of the three dozen or more eggs I salvaged last month (19 May 2016). The range in size of the three remaining cats was dramatic (1.5 to 3 cm, stretched length (about 20 days old). Larvae were fed dandelion leaves. This photo (and the next) shows the largest larva. Unfortunately, the cat moved so fast that it was quite difficult to get a crisply focused image! Next step: pupae, I hope.
