Male Andrena crataegi? - Andrena crataegi - male

Male Andrena crataegi? - Andrena crataegi - Male
Pocantico Hills, NY, Westchester County, New York, USA
June 11, 2016
Size: not quite 2/5"
The male bee shown here was mating with the female bee just identified as Andrena crataegi (at: http://bugguide.net/node/view/1238438). We weren't sure whether to include these photos with the others or submit them separately, but here they are, in the event that they might be useful to the guide. Both bees were feeding on ninebark.

This first photo shows the male bee's relatively small head, narrow gena (cheek) and long antennae.
