Hodges #7137 - Waxmyrtle Wave Moth - Cyclophora myrtaria - Male
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
June 12, 2016
Size: Wingspan ≈25mm
Attracted to black light. Provides June image record for Florida. On the basis of posted photos, I consider the heavy speckling of the wings a good criterion to separate Cyclophora myrtaria from the similar C. packardi. Our yard has several Waxmyrtle shrubs.

Not C. packardi
This moth conforms to the criteria discussed by Steve Morris here.
