Maybe a Cuckoo Bee? - Coelioxys - female

Maybe a Cuckoo Bee? - Coelioxys - Female
Short Canyon, Kern County, California, USA
April 2, 2016
Note the best image quality, but the imbrication of the terga and sterna make it easy to count the former (I get 6). And clearly no scopa on the venter...though in other ways, the look is reminiscent of a megachilid.

Note also the sharply pointed tip of the abdomen. I'm speculating, but that gives me the impression of a cuckoo (i.e. more suited for battle than oviposition?)
