Looks familiar
You may find my post here interesting but not very helpful. Maybe someone will offer help!

Thanks Peter
Very helpful and informative. Looks like we have the same moth.

#3173 Epiblema abruptana?
Cliff, some considerations led me to ask Jim Vargo for his opinion and he replied that Carol Wolf's, your and my moth belong to the Epiblema strenuana-abruptana complex but would need dissection for an ID. Well, I looked at the BugGuide images and found among E. abruptana some that look very much like ours, e.g here and here, the latter one having the "blessing" of Ken Childs. I think I will move mine to abruptana

Thanks again Peter
The two images are spot on. I will go with Ken Child as well.

Setting things straight
I have to correct myself regarding Jim Vargo's comment: He did not write that separating strenuana from abruptana needs dissection but states that the genera Eucosma (alias Pelochrista) and Epiblema are easily distinguished by dissection. I am an inattentive reader.

Moved from ID Request.

Eucosmini, I think
