Saldula - Saldula pallipes - Male
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA

Seaward margin of Little Dump Pond

Saldula pallipes (Fabricius), male
Moved from Saldula. Confident of this ID after examining genitalia (per Lindskog 1981).

Saldula sp., male
Specimen now a photo-voucher. Thanks Aaron.

This guy is close to S. pallipes but I'm not confident about the ID. It's possible it could be S. laticollis but I believe it's only known from Nova Scotia localities (and western coastal populations as well). The taxonomy is confusing and I need to find the correct paper (Lindskog 1981). See (1) for a brief discussion.

Moved
Moved from Shore Bugs.
