Red-headed ground beetle - Chlaenius emarginatus

Red-headed ground beetle - Chlaenius emarginatus
Amethyst Brook Conservation Area, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
June 1, 2016
Found this beautiful beast under a plastic object near our back-porch light a few times this month. Hoping I identified it correctly; the long jaws and contrast between the red thorax and black elytrae seem diagnostic, unless I'm missing something.

I think you're right
Looks like emarginatus. The "fuzz" on the elytra is a coating of golden hairs, which shows up more in this kind of lighting I suppose.
