Moth 404A 5169 - Heliothis ononis

Moth 404A 5169 - Heliothis ononis
Rochford about a mile by road WNW of the "town", Pennington County, South Dakota, USA
June 19, 2016

oregonica?
This moth better matches the description of oregonica including the orbicular spot being as dark as the reniform spot, so I am wondering how this was determined to be ononis?
