The smallest of our North American dragonflies. It was a cold rainy day as we hiked in the bog. The dragonflies weren't flying and were so cold that they could easily be coaxed to step off the vegetation onto your finger. That's John's little finger, for a size comparison, so the animal in the thumbnail format is larger than lifesize!

That is so amazing, I have never seen a dragonfly this small.
