Bugs?? - Leptoglossus

Bugs?? - Leptoglossus
Chesterfield County, Virginia, USA
July 2, 2007
Size: pinhead or smaller
I thought these might be very small Wheel Bugs - Arilus cristatus but I fail to find images of any this small lacking a black front. The species is common in my yard but right now most are a middle instar.

Moved
Moved from True Bugs.

Not Wheel Bug, juvenile Leaf-footed bugs
- but they are very similar and people often seem to confuse them. See genus Leptoglossus and compare below. You may be able to watch these mature to adulthood - they tend to stay in one location if not disturbed.
