whoa... wait a minute... I didn't look carefully enough!
I can't believe I let that slip... it's actually Cicindela rufiventris now that I look at it again! This is based on the shape of the pronotum, the location and type of setae around the edge of the pronotum, and the texture of the elytra.

Sorry I was in a rush and didn't look at it as close as I usually do. Did you see any rocky/clay areas nearby?

Beautiful photo of the blue form of that species on the edge of it's range!

Great, new species for me.
It was on a boardwalk over a flooded forrest floor.
There were no rocky or clay areas.
