Sigmoria? from Alabama

Sigmoria? from Alabama
Montgomery County, Alabama, USA
June 26, 2016
Size: ~5 cm
I have a pair of these and to me they look much like Sigmoria nantahalae but I don't think their range extends into Alabama. It is difficult to get a good photo as they prefer to stay burrowed. They have a delicious cherry almond smell.

Could also be the genus Brach
Could also be the genus Brachoria. Definitely not S. nantahalae, which has red paranota with white middorsal stipes

Sigmoria australis?
It looks like the only species of Brachoria that extends that far south is B. initialis (Marek 2010) but the color and patterning of that both that species in particular and the genus entire appear different than my specimens. Brachoria seem to have their coloration on the paranota only or with an additional metatergal spot of color which may or may not be connected with the paranotal spots by a thinner band of color.

Looking through the many species of Sigmoria and related/sub-genera, it appears that only S. australis is in range (Hoffman 1999) and while neither of the photos posted here match mine, they do show there is variation in the species and as a genus, appear similar to mine.

Does this seem correct or have I overlooked something? Thank you very much for your time and expertise!!!

thank you
Thank you! I see now how the color pattern on these are quite different from S. nantahalae.
