both punctifrons and texanus are very common at my porch lights, but in the latter the heat punctures are all but obliterated; i think Stebnicka has synonymized punctifrons under texanus, probably erroneously; both are on the Lick Ck Park list, as they should be

No publication reverses Stebnicka's synonymy
If you actually look at hundreds of specimens of this group from across the country such differences disappear completely. Please do not ignore synonymies by experts like Stebnicka who have spent untold hours examining many, many more specimens than amateurs have.
