Identification
Adult: head and pronotum dark brown to blackish; elytra striated and punctate, dark brown to blackish with dull dark reddish area at base, and two large spots of same color near apex; front tarsi flattened and bearing several claw-like projections adapted for digging

e US to AZ (ON-FL to SD-AZ); Mexico, W. Indies
