Syrphidae 2 on Cow Parsley - Melangyna - Female
Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
August 28, 2006
Size: BL ~ 9.5 mm
This Syrphini with three straight interrupted bands was seen in the Beaver Ponds area of RMNP at about 9140' elevation. Very wasp like. I think a female with the separated eyes. Any help with its ID is greatly appreciated.
