Sphex ichneumoneus Perhaps - Sphex ichneumoneus

Sphex ichneumoneus Perhaps - Sphex ichneumoneus
Blountstown Panhandle, Calhoun County, Florida, USA
June 15, 2016
Size: 20mm
Quite active. Flying about and returning to the same general spot. Digging in the sand. Most of the pictures I took show the antennae down on the sand surface. Feeling, smelling? Confirm Sphex ichneumoneus. Golden Digger Wasp. Gender?
