donĀ“t think these can swim at all....funny find. It is a species in the genus Systena. Must be new for your swimmingpool species list...

ironically, I see now that I previously determined one to Systena elongata for another BugGuide contributor. I usually attempt a determination before posting images, but this one I didn't recognize right off and I just put it up.
And yes, my pool list is growing. At this rate I should give up blacklighing.
