Big carabidae, likely in the genus Carabus, what do you thik of Carabus teadatus?
There is a distinctive purple hue on the pronotum marginal edge...

Carabus nemoralis

If i understand
Thank you for the comment, i think that the beast fit.
So, if i did undestood what was written there, the purple/blue hue on the pronotum would point at it as being a female?

No, female has all-blue highlights.
The purple is a male characteristic in my experience.

male vs female
The way to sex Carabus is to look at the front tarsi.

Female

Male

Note how the males front tarsi are expanded. This is to allow him to grip the female better

Thanks, Matthew.
Neat Website, carabusonline. I've bookmarked it. This appears to be a female then.
