Red-banded Leafhopper - Graphocephala coccinea

Red-banded Leafhopper - Graphocephala coccinea
Wilson County, Tennessee, USA
July 2, 2007

Moved

Graphocephala teleformis
This is one of the largest species in the genus, but even so, it scarcely exceeds 9 mm (not 15 mm). By contrast, G. coccinea is at most 8.4 mm and more usually about 6 mm.

Opps
Sorry for the gross error. The tilde (~) I had placed in front of the size indicates that I was estimating but a near 100% error is a really bad guess.

Leafhopper
That's a leafhopper. Graphocephala coccinea (Red-banded Leafhopper) , likely?

Thanks
