Question Mark in Sedona?! - Polygonia interrogationis

Question Mark in Sedona?! - Polygonia interrogationis
Sedona/Oak Creek, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
July 3, 2016
This appears to be a dark morph of Polygonia interrogationis, but all of the range maps I can find show it nowhere near Sedona, so I'm very curious for insights from anyone. The butterfly was gorgeous, appeared to have just eclosed, and was sunning on flood debris in the sycamore-alder riparian gallery along middle Oak Creek. It followed the sunlight for about ten minutes along these logs, and then flew to the underside of a sycamore leaf, so all of these photos are of the same individual. Also, the shots were taken across a wide portion of the creek with a 300mm lens, and so are much grainier and more pixelated than I'd like. Stunning creature, though. Has anyone else seen them this far north in Arizona? Thanks for any help!
