Large Spider ID please - Aculepeira packardi
Davis Creek, Modoc County, California, USA
July 3, 2016
Size: body is about 7/16 long
This spider was on my lavender. It didn't have a web and remained at the same location on the lavender all day. His legs resemble the posturing of a crab spider, but the patterning on its back and the shape of its abdomen make me question if it really is a crab spider. We have slender crab spiders, but this spider is significantly larger in length and width.

Moved from ID Request. Nice shot.

Looks rather to be an Orb Weaver
Maybe Aculepeira - Lynette will know

Nice find!
