Cicada - Okanagana

Cicada - Okanagana
Fremont Older OSP, Saratoga, Santa Clara County, California, USA
July 7, 2007
Size: about 3.5cm
What species? This Cicada was on the ground under a Sticky Monkeyflower branch, singing at 10 a.m. I have heard these but have never been able to find them. They are usually in dry grass in warm/hot places. They sound like a high-pitched electrical hum.

Okanagana utahensis or vanduz
Okanagana utahensis or vanduzeei, probably vanduzeei

Body proportions...
And the kind of song suggest an Okanagana sp. But confirmation from an expert is needed.
