What Species? - Melanophila atropurpurea

What Species? - Melanophila atropurpurea
Tucumcari, Quay County, New Mexico, USA
July 1, 2016

Moved
Moved from Melanophila. Given the locality (misspelled; it should be Tucumcari) and the nature of the elytral apices, this has to be M. atropurpurea, which is a very widespread species of "black smokechaser."

Moved

Melanophila Sp. (m. acuminata vs m. atropurpurea)
