Anaea - take your pick
It seems that lately specimens from Florida are being called A. troglodyta and those from Texas A. aidea. The name "aidea" has been considered by many to represent a geographic variant of A. troglodyta, so now it is commonly called A. troglodyta ssp. aidea in Texas (and parts of Mexico). It is pretty certain that the two names represent the same species. Those in Florida are A. troglodyta floridalis. I love that blue bean by the way. I've tried to grow that plant here in NM, but haven't had much luck yet.

aidea
You know, you're right, it appears the most recent info recognizes Anaea aidea as a full separate species, although I'm not aware of an official revision. But I agree with you, I'd say A. aidea is more accurate here. Thanks for pointing that out.
