Found at 6000 feet. I mean tiger beetle or at least he behaved this way.

Xylotrechus longitarsis
I think this is actually Xylotrechus longitarsis, they look nearly identical to X.undulatus, but I tend to see far more X.longitarsis in Montana.

Although, I think these two species are basically indistinguishable and phenotypic differences may just be based host plant, and there will likely be synonymy.

It is long-horned
(at least belongs to this family . . .).
I think it is a Xylotrechus sp., someone else may tell which one . . .

It does remind me of the Spru
It does remind me of the Spruce Zebra Beetle (Xylotrechus undulatus). Maybe someone can confirm.
