Texas spider - Larinia directa

Texas spider - Larinia directa
Edinburg, Texas, USA
October 21, 2004

Orb web?
The shape of the web helps narrow things down. Was this an orb web? It looks similar to Larinia directa in Levi (1).

Orb web?
The web was not a nice circular web, it seemed to be rather haphazard, it almost looked broken.

I agree with Troy.
I am going through some pics for John and Jane, that is why I keep hitting on yours.
Also, it looks like a subadult male.

That's great
that you're identifying a lot of the spiders. Thanks Jeff.
