Psyllipsocus apache Mockford - Psyllipsocus apache - female

Psyllipsocus apache Mockford - Psyllipsocus apache - Female
San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, USA
July 10, 2016
Size: 1.2 mm
This is my first psyllipsocid! I found some unusual psocids on a neighbor's palm (Washingtonia filifera) and sent several specimens (males & females) to Dr. Mockford. He performed some dissections and confirmed my guess to the species ID. He described this one in "New Species of Psyllipsocus from North and Middle America with a Key to Species in the Region", Trans. Am. Entomol. Soc. 137(1 &2): 15-47, 2011.
