Synanthedon sp - Synanthedon pictipes

Synanthedon sp - Synanthedon pictipes
Kathryn, Barnes County, North Dakota, USA
July 6, 2016
Size: 1cm
I captured it in a window at work. I originally mistook it for a wasp.
The size is the body length. The wingspan is 2cm.

Moved from Clearwing Moths.

Looks like Synanthedon pictipes (lesser peach tree borer). To be sure, I would have to see a close up on the head from the side.

Head photo
I have added a side profile photo of the moth.

Moved from ID Request.
