Fly - Paratendipes albimanus - Female

This fly was sitting on a wall, and was waving its front legs in circles, kind of like it was doing the crawl stroke.

Two different flies
You posted two different flies. This one has dark fore legs. The other has pale fore legs and hairy wings.

Yes, I see the differences now. I guess I will have to look closer next time. The two were sitting on the same wall and photographed back to back, 27 seconds apart two years ago. I guess I just didn't notice that they were two different flies.
