Identification
Acmaeodera mixta Horn

This could be...
...Acmaeodera obtusa. It has been recorded from flowers of Opuntia lindheimeri and Calylophus drummondianus.

different flower
From what I recall, the flower definitely wasn't opuntia and the flowers do not look like the Calylophus flowers images I've looked at. Is there a key to this large genus? Its the most common buprestid I encounter in the SW and I would like to be able to put names on the ones I have.

Genus Acmaeodera...
...160 species in the U.S., mostly in the southwestern states. No comprehensive key has been written since 1899, so IDs require familiarity with the primary literature and a GOOD reference collection.
