Found this beetle on the brick wall of our house about 3:00 p.m. today. Noted red tips on the antennae and paddle-like rear legs, although not like the Leptoglossus phyllopus, in my opinion.

This is a leaf-footed bug in the same family as Leptoglossus, so you're pretty close already.
I think it's Acanthocephala, maybe A. terminalis but wait for others to comment, as there's more than one species in Texas.
