Steven Whitebread believes that this is not pruniella and notes, "Unfortunately, the genitalia from your specimen are not unfolded, so a comparison is difficult, but the tip of the aedeagus is clearly different to the genitalia figures on that page. A. pruniella is never shiny golden like your specimen and the central band is narrower and distinctly darker than the ground color."
