Banded Hairstreak? - Satyrium calanus

Banded Hairstreak? - Satyrium calanus
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
July 13, 2016

Moved from Satyrium.

Moved from ID Request.

I'm thinking
Hickory Hairstreak (Satrium caryaevorus) since the postmedian band has white on both outer and inner edges. Nice pic!

Bill, this one looks like Banded
since it is variable and often has double white lines. FW band is aligned rather than broken and misaligned as in Hickory.

I am thinking Hickory since the blue lunule seems elongated.

That's why
they pay you the big bucks. =)
