Not a Dragonfly - Pelecinus polyturator - Female
Elizabethtown, New York, USA
July 7, 2007
This reminds me of the carrot wasp in front but the back end of it is segmented like a dragonfly. I looked through the pages of images but couldn't find anything that exactly matched. When they mate they form a heart shape (isn't that sweet).

This would be a female, correct? I thought I had read that they have a shape like this.
