Sand Wasp? - Poecilopompilus - female

Sand Wasp? - Poecilopompilus - Female
Lakeland Highlands Scrub park, Polk County, Florida, USA
July 13, 2016
Size: Estimated 25 mm ????
Similar to paper wasp but definitely digging in the sand. I watched for about 12 minutes as she dug a hole and then covered it. She flew off--I assume to get prey to put in the hole. Location was along a cleared fence line next to an oak hammock.
