Ebony Jewelwing Male - Blue view - Calopteryx maculata - male

Ebony Jewelwing Male - Blue view - Calopteryx maculata - Male
Francis Beidler Forest, Four Holes Swamp, Dorchester County, South Carolina, USA
July 10, 2007
Same individual as the "green" one, taken literally seconds later, from the new angle now he's blue! With a sporty green pin-stripe. Sorry about the tail motion, it was very shadowed, that was a 1/8" exposure, but the difference in appearance seemed worth demonstrating.
