I didn't realize

Unfortunately, this is a female, and most of the diagnostic characters have to do with the various structures on the end of the male's abdomen. Others with more experience may be able to determine her, but I haven't had too much experience with these and have mixed up some of the species before.

Thank you for the id correction.
I had not seen the link that indicates that Schistocerca alutacea, S. lineata, S. obscura and S. rubiginosa can be easily misidentified for one another. At least those are the ones that could occur in Florida.
