Sweet Little Bettle - Trachykele blondeli

Sweet Little Bettle - Trachykele blondeli
Salem, United States / Oregon County
July 24, 2016
Size: Approximately one inch.
Found this one on my boot. Didn't seem interested in anything but just... being there. I was able to move it around and pose it quite a while. Very speckled. Not sure if it was just very timid or weak, but, seemed to have issues gripping on surfaces--leaves, fingers, boots.

My first thought was that it was a dogbane leaf beetle, however, the body shape seems to be all wrong, particularly for this little guy's rump.

Trachykele blondeli is correct.
