Long-legged Speck - Ancyronyx variegata

Long-legged Speck - Ancyronyx variegata
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
July 20, 2016
I think this is a beetle? I found this very tiny speck traversing my threshold with mechanical strides the other night when I was trying out my new "easy-macro" rubberband lens on my iPhone, taking pictures of every moving speck I could find. I haven't seen anything quite like it before. I don't even know in which direction to look for it... I debated at first whether it was a Hemipteran, but those look like beetle antennae to me.

Riffle Beetle
Looks like this one.

Oh, very cool
It sure does! That was fast - thank you. :)
