even though the dark HW cannot be seen. Great photo showing scales and other detail!

I ran across your images trying to ID his one. This is the first one of these I've seen, but it's an exceptionally good year for Stephanomeria by me.

 
Don't have much time as a busy grandfather -
My grandkids are in Japan for the summer so I have more time for insect & plant outings.
