Wharf Beetle
Thank you Jeff, for the quick ID (and correction). This was on Queen Anne's Lace and there are some wooden wharves not far from here.

Thanks for sharing this great image. I've seen these beetles far from maritime areas, so I don't know that the common name is really applicable....:-)
