Trichiotinus flower scarab - Trichiotinus piger
Big River State Forest, Henderson County, Illinois, USA

I'm trying to determine what species of flower scarab was visiting our state endangered Patterson's bindweed. The information here shows primarily only one species of Trichiotinus (viridans) except that in one case the same exact photo was assigned 2 different species (viridans and piger). Are they all viridans? Thanks.

This appears to be Trichiotinus piger but it is a bit hard to tell from the slightly blurry photo.
