Explanation of Names
the "subfamily" Limenitidinae [sensu strictu - as recognized by most modern authors] is closely related, and should likely also be included within Heliconiinae.
The circuscription of the Heliconiinae has changed dramatically in recent decades, from being restricted to only what are now included in the tribe Heliconiini, to including also the Fritillaries [now tribe Argynnini], the old world Vagrants, Leopards, Yeomen, Cruisers & kin [now tribe Vagrantini], and the tropical Coasters and Lacewings [now tribe Acraeini]
